Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll lead the design and optimization of electrical systems that power essential infrastructure—pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. You’ll integrate advanced technologies such as automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to drive efficiency and innovation across operations. A key part of this role is ensuring safety through arc flash mitigation, fault detection systems, and compliance with regulatory and environmental standards. You’ll manage complex projects from concept to completion, aligning engineering solutions with business goals and timelines. This is a high-impact role where your leadership and problem-solving will directly contribute to operational reliability, safety, and strategic growth.

Responsibilities / Expectations

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.
  • Champion integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs.
  • Implement robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability.
  • Provide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for new construction and upgrades to existing facilities.
  • Manage complex engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior engineers, fostering technical growth, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education / Years of Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and eight (8) years of engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or a related industry.
  • Preferred: PE License.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as a main priority.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong PC skills.
  • Power Generation and Controls experience.
  • Proficiency in reviewing arc flash studies and implementing improvements.
  • Working knowledge of electrical design codes (NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE, etc.).
  • Preferred: Experience with PLCs.
  • Preferred: Project Management experience.
  • Preferred: Experience working in Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC of small to medium facility projects.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in designing and implementing instrumentation systems, including PLC and HMI systems.
