Job Description

This is a 100% remote, partial-year contract role for a Senior Paid Social Specialist to lead hands-on campaign execution and optimization during the tax-season marketing cycle. The position is fully remote, with candidates required to be located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones. Contract period: November–April. Primary platforms: Meta and TikTok, with support across additional social platforms.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on experience in paid social, translating strategy into effective, high-volume campaign execution. You will work closely with the Senior Manager of Paid Social and the broader media team to manage campaigns aligned with Brand and Performance objectives, emphasizing accurate execution, creative rotation, campaign health, and in-season optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage hands-on campaign execution across Meta and TikTok, including campaign setup, QA, trafficking, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitor and optimize performance, focusing on budget pacing, frequency, creative fatigue, bids, audiences, and overall campaign health; proactively identify issues and opportunities.
  • Analyze performance and provide actionable insights, testing ideas, and optimization recommendations that support Brand and Performance goals.
  • Partner with paid social leadership and cross-functional teams to support campaign planning, reporting validation, measurement processes, and seasonal execution needs.

Qualifications

  • Significant hands-on experience managing paid social campaigns across the funnel, especially on Meta and TikTok.
  • Strong understanding of campaign trafficking, QA, creative management, audience management, budget pacing, and optimization.
  • Strong analytical skills and data literacy with the ability to translate performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with media, creative, analytics, and data teams.
  • Familiarity with social reporting and measurement tools.

Workload Expectations

  • Pre-season (November–December): 40 hours per week (full-time) focused on pre-season campaign builds, trafficking, creative planning, test setup, and launch readiness.
  • Peak season (January–April): 40 hours per week (full-time) focused on daily campaign management, QA, creative trafficking and rotation, optimization, monitoring, and performance reporting.

Success Measures

  • Accurate and timely campaign execution with consistent monitoring and creative rotation.
  • Proactive optimization and contribution toward year-over-year improvements in Brand and Performance outcomes, including qualified site visits (QSV), QSV rate, unique reach, account sign-ins, and key conversion milestones.

Educational Qualifications

  • No specific degree required; candidates at all education levels are welcome. Practical substitutes include approximately 5 years of hands-on paid social experience, particularly with Meta and TikTok, plus campaign trafficking, QA, optimization, analytics, and reporting skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field may be helpful but should not be used as a hard screening filter.

Software Tools and Technology

  • Meta Ads Manager – working/intermediate: hands-on campaign setup, trafficking, QA, budget pacing, audience management, creative rotation, and optimization across Brand and Performance objectives.
  • TikTok Ads Manager – working/intermediate: hands-on campaign execution, monitoring, QA, creative management, and optimization across the funnel.
  • Social reporting and measurement tools – working/intermediate: campaign reporting, performance monitoring, measurement validation, and actionable analysis; equivalent tools are transferable.
