Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the planning, design, and development of tools, machines, and accessory products for the HVAC/R markets. You will drive new product introductions and improvements with substantial latitude for independent actions and decisions on large, high-impact projects.
What You Will Be Doing
- Lead engineers in the design of individual tools and machines, acting as the lead on some projects
- Evaluate the progress and results of projects you lead
- Own project-level goals involving multiple engineers and help break down ambiguous tasks into smaller units with clear milestones
- Mentor Engineer I, II, and III with their projects, guiding them through complex issues
- Provide technical leadership, bringing design concepts to production-ready solutions as the subject matter expert
- Support department goals by designing test plans and performing testing
- Provide advanced production line support
- Develop product specifications for new product ideas
- Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate component specifications and dimensional requirements on receipt
- Support new production development, reporting on work at department, new product, and stage gate meetings
- Transform initial rough product designs into working production documents
- Update released production documentation using documented change processes
- Develop Bills of Materials for entry into the business system using ECM processes
- Be responsible for interviews, onboarding, time management, and performance reviews for up to two direct reports
- Support training and perform other duties as assigned
What You Will Bring
Required:- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 8 years of progressively demanding experience in new product design
- Understanding of the new product development process
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information in a presentation setting
- Knowledge of lean principles
- 3D CAD proficiency
- Electrical: experience with low voltage printed circuit board assembly (PCBA)
- Electrical: circuit design experience
- Electrical: experience with electronic design automation software
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Infor ERP experience
- EPA 608 Certification
- SolidWorks experience
- DBWorks or Enterprise PDM experience
- Electrical: EDA software library setup
- Electrical: design experience using Bluetooth communication
- Electrical: HVAC sensor experience (e.g., pressure, temperature)

Schedule
4-day work week, 10 hours per day (Mon–Thu, 6:00 am–6:00 pm). Additional hours may be required during busy periods.
